How easy is it to have pants let out?

I recently bought a cheap purple suit as a Halloween costume - I'm going as the Joker.

Anyway, the pants are 35 waist, which would normally be big on me. I typically wear 34 waist with room to spare. However, with these pants I have absolutely no room to spare and they're quite tight in the waist.

When I'm drinking loads of lager that night I'm going to need extra room, and I'd like to get the pants let out. My question(s): Has anyone done this? How easy is it? How much does it typically cost?

Depends on how much fabric is left in the seam... most likely, you're not going to be able to.

Just wear a belt and dont button the pants.

Just wear a long shirt and don't button the pants. Use the zipper to adjust tightness, zip it up for tighter and down for less tight 😀
