How easy is it to get started in Pharmaceutical

Sales. Looks pretty interesting and I know you can make a lot of money. How tough is it to get in the door? I am looking online at a few sites and ive found that I need to become certified first, before a pharm company even looks in my direction. Is this the case?

I know there a few Pharmaceutical threads, but for some reason I cannot do a search.

That's been my general impression too. Most of the people I know in that line of work are hot girls fresh out of college. I only know a couple guys who do it. It pays well, but seems to have a fairly high burnout rate after only a few years from what little I've seen of people that do that. I guess a lot of traveling sales jobs are like that. They're ideal when you're younger and don't have a family or if you just really like sales and get a sales area that doesn't require as much travel.
