How DUSTY is your case?! What do you do to PREVENT dust?!?

I, like many of us, hate dust. To add upon this, I am also alergic to dust. So I ask: How DUSTY is your case?! What do you do to PREVENT dust?!?

Personally, use air filters on the intake fans, I am not too sure if this is helping. Any suggestions will be fully appreciated.

Thanks

get in there with a Can of Air, or sometimes just take the case down and use a vacum cleaner.... Just don't suck anything in 😛

I hope you know that a vaccum cleaner creates A LOT of static electricity. Have you done this yourself?

Please tell how dusty your case is!!

Thanks

Hey, that how all my dust get IN! 😉

Really? I've never heard that before. How does that happen? Surely, it's not caused by the rushing air. Otherwise, wouldn't a can of compressed air do the same thing? Take off your revolving-brush attachment 😉

<< yah, would especially appreciate on how to keep the PSU clean and free of dust. >>

I wonder if making a PSU "sock" out of a nylon stocking would work???

I have a 120mm intake filter on my system but a lot of dust still gets in there somehow. I have to clean it out at least once every couple of weeks. Leaving it on 24/7 probably isn't helping though...

LOL true but thats why you have the same amout of fans blowing out 🙂

The only dust in my case is a layer around each of my intake fans.

Dust screens help. I have one in front of my intakes. Dust still gets in there, though and you need to clean it out every so often.

did you just get through with a Vegas hooker or something?

Mine doesn't get too dusty I have a furnace filter type of material in front of the intake fans that i clean about once every two months. While I'm cleaning the filters I blow the case out with 120psi from my air compressor😉

Difference between a O and V. 🙂 Amazing what a difference one letter can make! :Q

Just be careful around those fans!

Cheers!

man i had to check the name on that one whew not doc -----😉

Soap and water to be exact.
Actually I use filters and give them a good blowing out with some canned air every few weeks.

Keep the case up off of the floor, screen the intakes, blow the dust off, allow time to dry(in case some moisture in compressor).

You wouldn't imagine how much dust some machines collect. I've seen some where you can't tell what color the pcb is on the mobo or vid card and some have this greasy residue along with the dust and pet hair. Real nice to clean here in this case.
