The Intel Iris Pro graphics are actually pretty good. It's about on par with the NVidia 500 mobile series, which isn't bad for integrated graphics.

The Iris Pro IGP section is around 160MM2 to 165MM2 in size plus 80MM2 of L4 cache.

The Kaveri IGP section is around 120MM2.

Kaveri is 245 mm^2 * 0.47 = 115 mm^2

Iris pro is 177 mm^2 * 0.31 = 55 mm^2 * 2 slices = 110 mm^2 (likely less because the second slice doesn't duplicated some elements like the video display controller).

These are only rough estimates but iris pro is on a slightly denser process as well.

Haswell 2+3 ULT is 181mm2
Haswell 2+3 Desktop/Laptop is ~195mm2

Haswell GT3 size is close to 110-120mm2
