How doI get rid of extra tabs in Firefox?

I don't know what I did but now when I open Firefox on my Mac a whole bunch of tabs open. I close the extra ones but anytime I start Firefox the same thing happens. How can I reset Firefox so only the window I'm on opens without all of the extra tabs?

Go into the preferences and make sure your homepage is set to just one website.

Wow... that worked? Man, i don't even use Firefox! Good to know that the preferences make sense, at least based on the problem that the guy had.
