We currently use E-Time which works directly with ADP. However, we're looking into possible alternatives.

...shudder!!

How's that working out?

Well...not so good...
I could fill out and print an excel timesheet, and a print & sign leave slip in about 4 minutes...

It now takes me about 20 minutes to do my timesheet every other friday.

and...oh god... submitting travel reimbursement forms takes hours now!!!

We use a collection system I designed and developed that feeds a partially custom enterprise system.

Depends how many people you are paying and in how many states. In general it pays to stick with ADP as they can handle submission of taxes and are a lumbering dinosaur by design.

I've got this theory that we don't.

theoretically, I put in my written vacation request to my manager, who makes a note of it and than forwards it onto HR, who could be keeping track of it.

in practice, I put in my written vacation request to my manager, who I'm pretty sure just nods, throws it in the trash, and completely forgets about it 10 minutes later.
