So, just how does windows alphabetically order files? Like what symbol does it order first and what not.

I'm trying to organize some of my anime and some of it is from two different subbing groups so, episode 50 will be ahead of episode 01.

Like...

[sub group a] [anime name] episode [hash]
[sub group b] [anime name] episode [hash]

..and sub group b has the first few episodes yet, they are placed into the middle the other episodes... :X

In short... I want to have [Lunar] Bleach - 01 [2101CD82].avi through 49 to be shown at the time top ahead of [DB]_Bleach_50_[23A18CB4].avi.
Also having underscores instead of spaces doesn't affect the order, I tried it.

[D comes before [L.

Edit:
change the names to a[Lunar]... or [aLunar]...

Changing it to "a[Lunar]" moves lunar to the end. As the "[" comes before "a".

Changing it to "[aLunar]" words but it ruins the fansubbing group name.

Hmm... just tried "%[Lunar]" and it puts it ahead of "[DB]"

I don't think there's going to be any way to do this, short of renaming your files, or sorting by file date (assuming you downloaded them in order :p).

Because are 230+ episodes of Bleach and having the beginning episodes placed randomly in the middle of it all is annoying? That and it wouldn't make sense to have one anime to have it's episodes out of order while the others aren't.

nonono why do you have the [subgroup] as the first part of the filename?

You could use a media center program, such as boxee or XBMC. It'll display them in correct order.

What fansub group doesn't have their group name first? I don't change the titles after I download it. I leave it as is... If the group puts out a V2 of the sub I'll download that and replace the old one...

I could, but I'll just use the "%" to display it right.
