I have issues with it not booting when I go much higher and I think its the motherboard.

I have a corporate stable asus board, that I got in a hurry when my old one burnt out.

never got around to getting a higher end board

this is on a G41 micro? I'm not familiar with how the chipset overclocks but from what I looked up it's rated to 1333 fsb right? he's getting to 1600 fsb now so not bad. You look stable and temps are good from what you've posted. The voltages in cpu-z are low for what the cpu can handle but I'm not sure how much further that board will let you go...

if it's on a different board... I'm pretty sure you can get over 3.6 or higher easy

Will you notice the difference between 3.3 and 3.6 in day to day use? Well depending on what you do but, nah......

yup G41.

once I finish my sandy bridge build, I'm going to unlock the shaders on the 6950, and its just going to game at 1080p, play x234, and once I buy the kit, do 3d gaming/movies.

Since I have the H50 on it and these chips tend to OC well I figured I should atleast juice it SOME :D

thanks for the info guys. I dont know tons about OC'ing anymore(havent done it since the athlon xp days) I was wanting to make sure I wasnt going to smoke the CPU and make the PC a worthless brick

Boy I feel lazy now! I've been running mine @ 3.4 for about 6 months. Have been happy, but I'd like to go higher.

One question I do have, My ram is Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600, I've got 2x2gb sticks @ 8-8-8-24 now. Right now everything is running @ 400mhz FSB.

If I want to increase the OC more, I've got basically two options. Continue to increase the FSB at 1:1, or Change the divider. Which is best?

Q9550 E0
Asus Maximus Extreme
Corsair Dominator DDR31600 8-8-8-24
Right now running @ 3.4 with 1.12 Vcore. Stable

you're a good 20C and .15V under some of the most conservative thresholds where you might want to think about being concerned

If there's a bottleneck holding you back, its not your CPU - which is still very much looking like its the fattest part of the bottle.
