regarding the mix:
it's ok, just snare a little too loud.
regarding the music:
you can do better (or at least, more)

The beginning sounds a little bit out of sync or something of that sort and there's a few other spots throughout the 2 minutes that the out of sync feeling reoccurs. And the snare is too loud as others have mentioned. Other than that, good job. I wish I could play instruments. Did you play everything and/or what software did you use to create the beats?

Guitars sound out of sync w/ the drums in many parts of the mix.

It's like it starts off not on the same tempo, then catches up for a brief moment and then goes back to being off, rinse/repeat.

hahaha well keep in mind this wasn't meant to be anything.

i was just recording scratch work so I could test recording levels.

i played a drum beat on my electronic kit
recorded a bass line to it
then a few guitar tracks

it was all one take stuff totally improvising. I wasn't really worried about playing in time because i never expected to really publish. just posted for criticism on volume levels

Here's a better mix.

- Drums too loud
- Guitars sound dry and thin
- Way too many guitar tracks
- Overall lacks depth and dynamics

Suggestions

- Solo the drums and bass and get them in the pocket first
- Guitars sound direct, try running through a cab sim
- Pan the guitars for depth
- Add reverb and/or chorus for depth
