How does this look before I build?

It looks fine, though that 6600GT is out of stock now. If you pick another, be careful -- two people here have posted recently about accidentally buying a PCI-E board instead of AGP.

Getting a plain 6800 for $270 makes sense if you can't wait for 6600GTs to get back in stock. Buying 1 GB RAM would be nice, but you can always add the second 512 later.

I have the Antec SLK3700AMB case myself for my music server, it's a great case with solid power supply.

Oh by the way guys, I only have a 17" monitor. So I don't think going for the 6800 over the 6600GT would even be worth it.

Could you elaborate? :disgust:

Sure,

If I were to buy a rig now it would be either a 3400/3500+, 6800gt, 1gb of ram and at least 100gb hd, however that might be more than you want to spend.

NICE. If you can afford to spend $40 more on a 939 motherboard and substitute that 3000+ with 90nm 939 3000+, it'd be almost perfect.

You should probably get a pretty good overclock out of the 3000+ if you are so inclined. Definitely a much better value than the 3400+/3500+ being recommended above.

Too bad you have to pay a premium for the AGP interface on the 6600GT, though.

Well, the 6800 does AA and AF faster than the 6600GT. Also, maybe someday you'll have a bigger screen.

Max res for the monitor is 1280x1024@60Hz. I would do everything at 1024x768@85Hz though. 6800 is not noticably faster even at 1024x768 with AA/AF (except maybe in Doom 3). Can you show me where to get a 6800 for $250?

Fry's or outpost.com has the BFG 6800 OC for $250.

You could always try to softmod the 6800 to unlock the extra pipes and then you would probaly have a pretty big perfomance increase.
