jediphx,

Not trying to be critical, but there's too much chaff in your post to read though easily, looks like you copied directly from the Dell web site... If you pare your post down to the major elements, like processor, video card, etc. - you get the idea - it will be easier for folks to read and help you decide if it's a good deal.

I did read through it all, and it does look like a decent price for what you're getting. It's a good solid computer, but might be a little slow for video editing with the 2.2 GHz CPU, and probably only a modest gamer. If you really want a good machine for video editing, you might consider one with a quad core processor. For good gaming, you'd do better with a fast dual core (quad core will work, of course), something like 2.6 to 3.0 GHz would be better, but of course, more expensive...

Hey Noel, yeah since my last post I changed it to the Q6600 Quad Core, 250 gig HD. Came out to 792 including tax and free shipping plus $300 off coupon

What concerns me more than the dual core is the fact that the graphics card is weak... really weak. If you could I would suggest you get the cheapest possible graphics card from dell and then buy an 8800GS or HD 3850, you'll see a huge performance boost.

EVGA 384-P3-N851-AR GeForce 8800GS 384MB 192-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail - $140 ($110 After rebate)

Or this one with a better cooling solution:

HIS Hightech H385Q512NP Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported IceQ 3 - $160 ($140 after rebate)

However you *might* need a PSU upgrade, depending on what Dell is putting on your computer.

well I think it will be fine I didnt have the energy this time around to build my own system (i usually do this and OC hard) and my usage is different now with three kids, casual gamer and now more video editing (hence the quad core).
