How does this build look?

I've decided that i'm going to build my new computer (I have never built one before) and I just wanted to know if there's something I should change or add? I'm also reusing my ati radeon 9800 pro, dvd-rom, burner, floppy, hard drive, and monitor. The system is going to be used primarily for games. (Not really on a budget but would like to keep it somewhat cheap). Thanks!

RAIDMAX Black 10-bay Case with 420W Power Supply, Model "ATX-822WBP" -RETAIL $52

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - Retail $223

MSI "K8T NEO-FSR" K8T800 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket 754 CPU -RETAIL $84

OCZ Premier Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 $93

Total: $454 (from newegg)

if you game a lot you might want to get 1 gig of ram, and im not sure about raidmax, but you might want to get a quality power supply like the 430W antec true power.

get a different case and psu. just because a psu has large numbers does not make it any good. if you want a quiet and strong psu, then get the antec sonata case w/ its 380W psu for $99 at newegg.com. i also think it looks very nice.

try not threadcrapping for once

anyway, the build looks good but i would get a nice antec (or similar PSU) and go with a abit or asus board

If they're throwing that power supply in with a $53 case, it probably sucks.

I would get the K8N Neo Platinum nForce 3 250Gb, which is currently only $127.

If you just want cheap PC3200 CL 2.5 memory, get the Mushkin Basic 512MB for $77. Otherwise, upgrade to the OCZ EL Platinum for $115.

You're not going to get much in the way of constructive comments because
1) you didn't say what your currnet system is
2) you really have no guidelines for budget
3) you don't mention what kind of longevity you're looking for
4) you say you want to play games, but not "I want to play Far Cry" or "I want to play current games at 1600x1200" or anything very helpful

I mean, if you want to play current games, you'd be better off getting 1 gig of RAM, but you don't have a budget, so maybe you can afford to just get 2 x 512MB Mushkin 2-2-2.

You say you're using your old hard drive, but you don't even mention what that is. It's a pretty important component, and if you're just playing games, your hard drive is more important than spending the extra cash on an Athlon 64 3000+ system. If you've got a Radeon 9800 already, how bad can your current system be? For all I know, you'd be better off just getting 1 GB RAM and a Raptor for the machine you've already got.

Depends if you overclock, most likely the 12V rail won't hold on the 420 supply. Otherwise by stock its fine.

even at stock, depending on the load the system is running on, it can still blow.
