Yeah, it's just retarded because I pay online and the day changes every month. So I just assume around the 27th that I pay the CC bill but sometimes it happens to fall on the 26th so I've been a day or 2 late on occassion when I don't remember to go on and pay the bill till the 27th.

You should contact the CC company. Alot of times, they'll let it slide.

Yeah, except I'm lazy and always put things off and the 27th is just the set date in my head...I should just switch the date in my head to the 23rd...

You're screwed up for life....

Heh...no worries. I'm pretty sure you won't get many marks, if any, unless it goes to a collection agency. The stuff that matters most on loan applications is how long you've had your job and what your income vs. debts are. Be sure that you've had your current job for more than 2 years and lived in the same residents for the same amount of time.... If not, no worries. That'll just affect the interest rate a little.

Paying your credit cards off in full every month or only a couple of days past the due date does not affect your credit. Paying past the due date can cause late fees and other added inconveniences. There is also the danger that unpaid late fees could roll into 30 days lates on your credit.

To sum up:
- paying in full = nothing but good
- paying late, even just a couple of days = bad

Paying 30+ days late DEFINITELY shows on your credit and definitely sucks for it. If it's just "late" like a couple of days late I don't know if that shows up on your credit or not; obviously it will incur late charges though. Stop paying late.

I personally, as soon as the month starts, pay the minimum online just on the slim chance in hell that I forget to pay the real full amount later in the month.

It's alright to think these things in your head...but never say them outloud or write them down.
