I've got an I7 860 running smooth at 3.5gz with out any voltages mods running on air. How do these new I7's 2600's run compared to the 860?

i wouldnt upgrade to 1155 from 1156. Wait for whatever is next after 1155. The new CPU's tend to be 10-30% faster depending on the benchmark.

Im on a i7 930 and am waiting out till LGA 2011 or whatever replaces 1155. Or even AM3+ bulldozer if they can pull off the performance to be a upgrade from a i7.

Its funny I really don't want to upgrade my CPU. Its my motherboard that I want to upgrade to get Intel's new P67 chipset with Intel's own Sata 6 controller. But it seems the only way to get it, is to upgrade to the 1155 socket and the new CPU's. If they had a socket 1156 P67 motherboard with the intel controller I would be all over that...

I can understand where you are coming from :) I have a 2 port Marvell SATA 3 Controller on my motherboard and its a POS. I dont care though as i have a SATA 2 SSD and will wait till my next platform swap till i consider upgrading my SSD, the intel ICH10R controller is all i need for now.

Just read about the ASRock P67 Transformer. Sounds intriguing, since I'm trying to finish up the specs for a build.
