how does the dell 1702FP compare to 1800FP?

I think the 1800fp may be a little to expensive for me. since the 17" is the same res, it seems like I could just put it closer to my eyes and have virtually the same display. what are the specific visible differences between the two?

I have the 1702FP Ultrasharp and it is an excellent monitor!

However at it's native resolution of 1280x1024....reading text can often make your eyes squint. I have changed the font size within XP...but a lot of sites don't respond to this.

Anyways I wish I would have gotten the 18.1 monitor instead.

Try and go to a store and fiddle with a 17", you can use big icons, big fonts, big fonts in IE and you can raise the dpi.
