How does the Atom compare to older CPUs?

Since the Atom (Diamondville) is not exactly a fast performer, I am curious how it stacks up against older mobile CPUs.
I am curious how a 1.6GHz Diamondville would stack up against e.g. a Pentium III-M 750MHz.

If you look at Anand's article about the Atom from a few months ago, he says that "Under SYSMark 2004, a 1.6GHz Atom is around 20% faster than an 800MHz Pentium M (90nm Dothan). As you can expect, a 900MHz Atom is slower than the 800MHz Pentium M as it needs clock speed to make up for the low IPC of the in-order core." In my limited dealings with Pentium M's, I believe that the 800MHz Pentium M nets you performance roughly equivalent to a 1.2GHz Pentium III-M. Given what Anand said about the Atom running Vista at smooth frame rates I think one can safely say that a 1.6GHz Atom would be probably around 50% faster than a 750MHz P3-M.

Cool. I couldn't for the life of me find that article with google.
Tss, tss, tss ... google's search is not what it used to be.

The Pentium M (Dothan) that was referred to in that article is not the same as the Pentium III-M. The Pentium III-M is a much older cpu, which apparently reached a max stock speed of 1.33 GHz. If you can somehow find or perform a comparison between the P. III-M and the Dothan, you can probably extrapolate a comparison between the Atom and the P III-M, using that article as a reference.
