Hi everybody!

I just happen to have a website and I would like to know how to do this one thing :

admin.mydomain.com

You know, those kind of URL that redirect somewhere. In this example, it would redirect to "www.mydomain.com/admin/"...

I can do subdomain with my Plesk panel but they don't let me choose WHERE to point my subdomain to!! :( I already sent a support ticket but pfff, I'll be waiting till tomorrow.

Any idea?

Well with cPanel, admin.mydomain.com would point to www.mydomain.com/admin/. Have you tried that? Otherwise, look in your root directory (above public_html) for something called admin

What error are you getting? DNS error? Page cannot be found? Access Denied/Permission?

I'm not getting a 404 but my browser tells me it's not able to find a page at that adress. I use a french browser so the exact transcript may not be of any help. :)

A while like...? 10 minutes? A day? A week? It's been a WHOLE while since I created a subdomain that still does not show up... :(

My host has arranged my DNS. It's showing up now.

Is there a way to password protect the directories in this subdomain too?

Yes you can password protect using .htaccess and other methods.

Why are you paying GoDaddy to host your web site? There are cheaper alternatives which offer nice control panels.
