There isn't any texture loading errors going on here's it's just how the bloody game looks.

It's called "art style" and there were people whining about it when the first game came out.

If you don't like it, don't play it.

OOOH MY GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHD IT DOESN'T LOOK REAL! HOLD ME, CALL OF DUTY! WAAAAAHHHH

You are a real piece of work aintcha?

I am talking about the blurry yellow texture. Try enlarging the picture. It is clearly a lot lower quality than all the surrounding textures.

It's not fine. It's a super crappy texture that doesn't match anything else. It's much lower quality than the rest. It doesn't blend in with the rest even.

I know what you were referring to. That's what I was referring to, too. Follow along, please.

I really like the art style and graphics. That's a clever troll though... or maybe you didn't enlarge the image.

Or maybe nobody gives a flying four letter word for copulation because they're too busy moving on to enjoy the game instead of being pedantically whiny?

The texture was probably originally intended to wrap around an identically-shaped object of smaller size but wasn't worth the effort to fix when someone else made an insignificantly small decision to enlarge the object.

This games graphics were based on being comical not realistic.
You have not even touched the surface of graphical flaws, But that does not matter, Its based on humor and story.
Wait till you find all the other action flaws, ie, Getting stuck on pebbles and transsision errors and in my case the jump not working when activated.

This is the only FPS on my system and I put hours on it just for the fun of the chase.

Looks like it is ether the incorrect texture or the model was resized much larger than it should have been.

I spend too much time running around, shooting **STUFF**, and collecting loot in Borderlands to stop and worry about one **FOULED** up texture panel.

:\

I used to be picky like that a couple of years ago, paying [too much] attention to details inevitably leads to staring at an object seeing imperfections (be it right in your face or lost somewhere in a forgotten nook at the boundary of a map). It was so bad in my case that I was almost drawn towards such things rather than merely finding about them by coincidence or mistake. I am convinced that absolutely zero development team would have wanted me as a lead, I would have been an asshole to them even if my intention would have been 'for the best' in terms of overall textures quality and equilibrium.

And then I got older.

Yeah... nowadays I just play them, and if I do see something akin to what the OP posted I roll my eyes and shrug it off if I actually enjoy the game-play. If I don't like the game and have (or post about) complaints I usually mention something else (other aspects, like the A.I., unfitting music, badly-scripted or wacky scenes, boring missions, bad voice acting, etc).

I think a lot of people here have a really hard time with the concept of casual conversation.

There is no reason to be so inanely defensive about "pub" comments.

FWIW, that texture has nothing to with "art style."

Borderlands2 has fantastic artistic direction, some good texture work with a good level of detail. Just look at the detail work on the barrel sitting next to it.

It was a mistake, and has NOTHING to do with artistic direction. And no, it doesn't bother me, so please don't bother posting about how pathetic you think my life is for noticing.

Weird, I've got 316 hours in Borderlands, and 96 hours in Borderlands 2, but I don't really remember much shooting or looting. I mostly just stared at a single texture in the starting area and then complained on a message board about it.
