Hey guys,
1. I heard that the SP1 is a must have for this board. But besides adding usb 2.0 does it affect anything else (in positive way)?
2. the other question that bothers me (psychological aspect of personality: when a person puts much into an object, he expects the object to do likewise) - is why my HDD is slower in Win XP and much faster in WinMe? I use nVidia's reference drivers, clean installs, fixed page file (after instal, so it will be in the beginnig of the disk) of 650mb... and still i get 1300 hdd marks in WinMe and only 780 in WinXp. Also, visually, proggies under win xp take longer to load (even though i always disengage all the recoveries, visual optimixations, rtc). Why such an oddity? (I have a maxtor 133ATA 40 gig drive)
3. I have a legal vers. of XP (my friend got it with his PC, but he hates XP, so he gave it to me. His PC wasnt brand name, so it was just "regular" XP Pro, but OEM version), and yet the SP1 doesnt install.
Any suggestions are welocme!
Also, (i dont wanna a separate thread for it, so forgive me)- what the heck is a FSB spread spectrum, and why cant i disable it?
