So you're of the opinion that white people have the responsibility to denounce white nationalism even if they aren't prompted for their opinion?
I liken it to how someone was talking about (I forget his name) pedophile guy. "If someone asks you if you are attracted to little boys, your response should be "no" in less than a second, not "hmmm welll...."

Trump has yet to denounce it, while King at least tried to deny it..so there's that, but anyone who thought racism isn't still rampant only thinks that because before Trump took office most were pretty behind the scenes about it. They are getting braver and emboldened due to Trumps rhetoric.

I live in ne iowa. I didn't vote. That said. The people who I've talked to don't seem to care about racism or white nationalism. They are apathetic. If you called them a racist They will give you a "so?" Response. Its not a dirty word here like it is other places. This doesn't mean they are racist. They just don't give a shot about the label. My guess is if someone called Steve king a white supremacist isn't going to get the response here that you are looking for. People don't care one way or another on race issues. Maybe they find other things more important?

What is a valid reason to ask somebody about it in the first place? Is being white a good enough reason?
You asked a question and I answered it directly. In turn I asked you a question and you are side-stepping it and instead asking me other questions. Fuck you. Answer the fucking question first and then we can move on to your stupid follow up questions. It's called debating in good faith, asshole. Do you think you can manage that for one fucking second?

Yes it absolutely does. You, and "the people you talk to," are so soaked in and accepting of racism that you don't notice it and don't care if you do.

You are all like pigs wallowing in the filthy, feces flecked mud of a sty. You can ask the pigs, "Don't you find the mud disgusting?" But they don't even truly understand what you're asking them. Hence, "They are apathetic."

If you call them filthy pigs, "They will give a 'so'?" That's because they're pigs, just like you and your ilk are racists, too steeped in the sty of your racism to understand or care.

You and your fellow apathetic racists in Iowa are how a human shit stain and deep embarrassment to humanity like Steven King got re-elected.

So all the stuff that happened in Charlottesville, the woman killed, the church shootings in Charleston which killed 9 people were just a big ho-hum to those people? These crimes all had their genesis in racism. Nobody cares? What about the synagogue shootings? Another ho-hum?

No offense but sounds like a majority of Iowans are amoral.

Hey, you cowardly piece of shit, being apathetic to racism means you effectively endorse it. And as someone who has an interracial extended family, that's not just disgusting, that's insulting. Care about your fellow human beings. Fight racism. Fight Steve King.

If the white supremacist said "I'm not going to take all of your money" and the socialist said "I'm going to take all of your money", the Nazi would win. That wouldn't mean that everyone that voted for him was a Nazi, it just means they couldn't afford the other guy.
A lot of people just get by, just enough money every month to keep their heads above water. Telling those folks they have to pay more isn't going to work. They don't have more, they can't get more. A few bucks makes a real difference in their lives.
The Nazi would never say that. He would just send you off to the oven, and use your money.

I disagree.

Keep Steve King's agenda but change to black nationalist, he does not get their vote. So they do care.

Jeez man take it easy.

The only valid reason to hesitate to denounce it, is a sense of bewilderment that you'd even be asked that. White people are not accustomed to being profiled on the basis of their race, and one of the few reasons to ask that, would be simply because they are white. So in the time they take to collect themselves, it would be considered hesitating.

But to answer the question you really asked, white people should not be racist.

No, they vote for him, guaranteed. The next black panther that runs for election in Iowa on the strong family values, lower taxes, 2nd amendment platform against the white, abortionist, raise taxes, take away guns, the black panther wins EVERY TIME.

Since we are just doing completely pointless speculation, absolutely yes they would. They value their platform far more than any sort of group identity you think all white people have. Lots of white like to discriminate against their own. "Oh well he's a dirty italian, or a drunk irishman who beats his wife, or white trailer park trash". Try as they might, the alt-right has not united the right or the white in this country.

The cattle cars man. They're right around the goddamn corner.
So, wait until then rather than stop it now?

That's your suggestion? If only you conservatives would just take the time to read. Educate yourselves. Go to a museum ffs (no, not one of Ken Hamm's anti-education museums. :D)

Your argument is ridiculous. White identity politics rule in places like King's district. They even rule wrt local Dems. There's absolutely no way they would run your fantasy candidate or any POC for that matter.

What a shame. All those Iowans must have been giggling when that guy shot up the synagogue

I don't have to be. I apologize for quoting the wrong reply. This is the one I meant-

No, they vote for him, guaranteed. The next black panther that runs for election in Iowa on the strong family values, lower taxes, 2nd amendment platform against the white, abortionist, raise taxes, take away guns, the black panther wins EVERY TIME.
I merely point out that guy will never be on a ballot in Iowa so it's absurd to pretend that he might be.

Even if someone asked me out of the blue, I might hesitate for a second out of bewilderment and then immediately condemn white nationalism, and then maybe move on to asking why someone would ask me that in the first place. Notice Trump doesn't do that. He can't condemn them. He just immediately tries to turn it around on the person asking the question.

You are also ignoring the fact that a huge portion of the nation is talking about whether or not he supports them so the idea that someone asking him directly is a weird thing to do is preposterous anyway.

Nobody in Iowa cares about your interracial extended family. Sorry but we don't. What makes you think you are so important anyways?

It just means your explicit tolerance for racism is particularly disgusting to me. I'm not any more important; I'm just hoping in vain that you have some kind of basic empathy for fellow humans. Apparently, you don't.

Interesting, I guess when all that shit went down in Charlottesville, the cheering I heard in the country came from Iowa.

YOU don't speak for Iowans. Full stop. You and your tribe may be blissful bigots, but you are not representative of most of the state.
