I mean, it would be one thing if we had support from the UN and the rest of the world, but we don't. What's his plan for after Saddam is gone? There's a lot of rebuilding, feeding, policing, etc that will need to happen, and it'll be expensive. Are we going to do this alone?

Not anti-Bush, just curious.
 
I believe Bush (and Cheney, Powell, et al) wants the UN involved.

Maybe they could get Habitat for Humanity to help out. 😉

I'd assume that (at least as of right now) Iraq really is a wealthy country, considering all the oil it has. With the right person in power, they could get the money needed to rebuild. So I'm just waiting for the call from Bush to go over there and run things.
 
Well, I hope he doesn't plan on using the Iraqi National Congress as the foundation for a new government; they are a complete joke.
 
Blair has already outlined in his common's speech that the UN would be at the centre of the effort to rebuild and administrate Iraq. Other than that I guess its up to the new Iraqi government who gets what. I can't really see them denying the coalition forces a look in - but if they did we would have to respect that as it is their country - and we're doing this war as liberators, not conquers.

or follow the Canadian policy and don't waste money on a defense budget, instead make your neighboors defend you, then when they use the same forces you depend on in a battle which makes the world safer for them as well, complain like a little child.

Who has the U.S ever defended us from? The only country to ever attack Canada was the fvcking U.S you donkey. We don't piss people off like you do, so we don't exactly have any 'natural' enemies.

He's going to turn Iraq into a resort destination. Right now he's working on putting in the golf courses. Already got about 40 holes finished, with lots more to come!
 
I'm sorry you cant tell the difference between rhetoric and fact, perhaps you should take a fresh look at the state of your military. Yes your defense is ENTIRELY up to the US, you count on that when you slash your military budgets to pay for social programs. Granted you have no "enemies", however terrorist attacks that might occur in NYC could EASILY reach Canada, do yuo think chemical or biological weapons are going to respect your border???? LOL
