I'm using an aDSL connection here at my residence while I'm here at school.
I've noticed that with using the built in PPPoE connection in WinXP, I can connect to the internet using the Username/Pass of the ISP I use back home which is also PPPoE based DSL... then disconnect and connect with the Username/Pass of the ISP I registered here.
So.. how does it know where to authenticate the u/p? isn't this easy to be able to use another person's bandwidth on their account?
Just wondering.. since earlier, my DSL connection had the green light at the DSLAM.. but my account itself wasn't setup yet at my ISP. I figured out I could still logon to the internet with the u/p of the ISP I have at home... and they're two different DSL ISP's.
