How does paypal work for purchasing things?

Will i have to transfer money from my bank account to to my paypal account everytime i went to order something though paypal,doesn't that seem kind of troublesome?

Paypal automatically does it for you. It's where the money comes from. It's "linked" to your bank account. It doesn't have to be in your paypal balance before you pay.

Either that or keep money in your paypal account.

/edit -TruePaige clarified it - paypal can also take the funds via EFT.

Or you can use your credit card as form of payment through PayPal.

Money comes from your bank in the form of an e-check, from your paypal balance if you're transferred it there already (or someone sends you money), or from a linked credit card.
The only reason to transfer money to your account and then to the seller is if you want them to get it instantly. This is generally not a good idea unless you know them. Also if paypal locks your account for some stupid reason you can't get to that money

Yes, EFT is probably the simplest way.

I use paypal to pay a few monthly subscriptions and they all just draw from EFT.
