How does paying someone by credit card work?

I'm talking about private sellers for ebay auction... I'm not exactly sure how you go about doing this


Also, does a plain Visa card offer any services like generating a 1-time-use number for transactions?

A lot of people use PayPal but ask them first, because they have to upgrade their accounts and then PayPal RAPES from the amount 2.9% + 0.30 cents.

yeah, i've been using paypal in the past, but because of this current problem i'm hesitant to use it for the time being. i refuse to give paypal my valid account numbers until they sort out the problem

there are sellers who accept credit card payments, though. how would i send them one of those?
