What do you mean "make nacho cheese"?

I usually buy a small box of velveeta cheese, melt it over the stove in a pot, and then dice up some jalajopeno peppers and throw in there.

Velveeta is nice because it melts smooth and doesn't get all nasty like a solid brick of cheddar would.

If you really want to make it spiffy, drop a can of chili in there.

I think that's Disgusted kat ;)
And that's what you should be, not laugh.

If I'm not feeling like spending a lot of time on it I grate chedder cheese on a plate of nachos and put it in the microwave.

If you are trying to melt a block it will take a long time, grate it.

Or if you want to do it right, melt it in a saucepan on the stove, and as vi said, velveeta works a lot better than cheddar for this.

Yeh, cheese turns out like ass in the microwave. Have you been using velveeta, or have you been using "real" cheese?

I just get one of those small bricks of velveeta, throw it in a pot, put it on the stove and and stir it VERY frequently. That's the key. You have to keep stirring it around so that it doesn't stick to the bottom and get burnt.

You can melt Velveeta in the microwave, just cut it into cubes, dump in some salsa or some chili and zap till melted.

Yummmmmmmmm

Velveta, Ewwwwwwww, I'd rather have that Mexican girl!

Grated Cheddar all the way lots of it, Whats your hurry stick it in a real oven for a few minutes, bake it then the chips are nice an crunchy. Don't stop with cheese, some refried beans, and a good Mexican dressing, olives, Shredded beef, empty the 'fridg on those babys!

Kraft Deluxe is better than Velveeta, IMHO. Try some of that too. Stay far, far away from off brand/generic processed cheese, and stay away from the microwave. Yuck.
