I'm hoping this thread is allowed..I apologize if it is not.

Are there any sorts of items that one can get cheap, like at a wholesale center or something, then resell on ebay for higher prices?

save all the boxes you get (such as processor boxes, video card boxes, sound card boxes, tv boxes, monitor boxes) and sell those boxes for half the price the items contained in the box cost. But be sure to put in that you are selling only the boxes somewhere.

You can sell dog turds in a paper bag on ebay. There is someone to buy anything you can think of.

I have two dogs that crap non-stop. Crap from the front yard is $10/lb., from the backyard is $15/lb. and crap that I find inside the house is $50/lb. Be aware that the crap you buy that was found inside my house will be accompanied by the dead, stiff body of the dog that actually had the audacity to crap in my house. Payment for said crap will include the weight of the mortified dog's carcass.

Not many people are making money on Ebay. I use it to cut my losses, as do most other people. Ebay bidders usually pay a higher amount for your item. The trick is to start it out at $1. Then you get about 50 people bidding on it and it looks like a hot item. It's all about mind control. Sh1t, it works for our Government, why not Ebay!!

I have a friend who has made his living for the last several years by buying junk at yard sales for pennies and selling it for a profit on ebay. It works for him. You have to approach it as a business.

I've always gone around and made friends with local computer shops. Once I'm a regular, I inquire about bulk dollar bin buyouts, offering labor in exchange for parts, etc. Offering to haul away components from businesses always lead to my best sales. I've made a fair amount of profit on dollar bins and hauls.
