I am an engineer from India and my engineering aggregate is 81%. If I have to convert this to GPA, how much does this convert to? Any idea?
Thanks.
Thanks.

81% x 4.0 GPA = 3.24 GPA ??

According to this method a 90 would be under a 4.0, which is typically not the case in most colleges.

a 90 is an A- which is a 3.7 right? Isn't an A = 93+ = 4.0, B=83-86 = 3.0.... with B+=87-89=3.3 and B-=80-82=2.7?

So what you are saying is a 90% aggregate should correspond to a 4.0 GPA (note GPA stands for Grade Point Average). By this logic, I would presume an 89% aggregage should correspond to a 3.0 GPA?
GPAs don't work like grade percentiles because they are an aggregrate...

Professors can change the grading scale how they see fit, though most follow their department guidelines. In my class, the scale is as follows:
A: 90-99 (I don't give 100s) = 4.0
B+: 86-89.99 = 3.5
B: 80-85.99 = 3.0
C+: 76-79.99 = 2.5
C: 70-75.99 = 2.0
D: 60-69.99 = 1.0
F: 0-59.99 = 0
I don't round up.
