I was wondering this. I run my own forums (link below), and mainly because of lack of traffic I don't get many hits. I see that being a Mod here isn't a paying job, just a very powerful job, and I was wondering what "test" you had to pass to become a Mod?

It's just like the X-Files, "the truth is out there"...

You`ll hear rumours, but no solid evidence.
 
Don't you guys think the mods should get paid?

And if they got paid, how much $/hour should they receive?🙂
