What does a stereotypical nerd voice sound like? Say, Screech Powers'?

I don't actually wish to acquire one. I'm just wondering why it happens. lack of communication with others? reading the dictionary too much? :s

if you've seen american splendor, I met a kid today who talked just like the main "nerd." it was pretty bad. screech powers could probably qualify too though...

I have the nerdiest of nerd voices. I believe it's because no matter how I try to talk, it sounds partly like my nose is clogged.

I was once called Nasalface by the bitchy rich girl at my high school. She was awesome. I did promptly compliment her on her well-placed insult.

I'm getting used it it now, though.. I have big ears and a nerdy voice - and an otherwise well-built 5'11" frame and a cute face. I'm fairly happy with myself.

hmmm. maybe they're just born with it, become social outcasts because of it, and resort to learning everything they can.
