How does my web page look?

I like it, it looks nice and professional

May I suggest though some type of graphics for the side menu, it seems like there is a lot of white space there

Yeah, it feels like there's too much whitespace. If you want to keep with the stark/corporate look, use light blues and grays or simple textures to fill up some space. Also, small graphics like bullets and horizontal rules can go a long way to making a website looking more "filled in."

yes and maybe some ruled lines, play around with what looks best
