Finally! After three years of wishing, I'm building my own PC. I ordered the parts last night, and they should be here by mid-week. I'd just like to thank the forum for all your help over the past few months. I'll be no doubt posting again for helping when building this PC, but I don't think I will run into too much trouble. Here is what I ordered (comments, suggestions, etc. welcomed):

AMD AthlonXP 1700+
Purple Shim
Thermalright SK-6, 38CFM Fan (Delta, I think)
Abit KG7-RAID
512MB PC2100 DDR from Crucial
IBM Deskstar 60GXP 60GB
Pioneer Slot 16x DVD-ROM
Plextor 16/10/40
ATi Radeon 7500 (the Radeon 7500 outperforms the GF2 GTS Pro, right? )
Creative Audigy Gamer
Antec 1040 Mid-Tower w/400W PS
WindowsXP Home Edition

It's no killer, but being a console gamer I decided that saving my money for the upcoming consoles would benefit me a lot more than configuring a killer-rig. Besides, I'm probably going to play at most AoE, max payne and motocross madness 2; word process, and surf the internet. Thanks again for everyone's help and soon I'll actually be able to play these games I've been hearing so much about! (My current rig is a P200, 96MB, 3.1GB, on-board Virge, on-board sound slug. Soon to be linux box slug.)

Looks great.......may be a better video card but really nothing wrong with the radeon ......looks like u are buying top of the line stuff, a faster video card might have been better...... gf3 ti200.....
looks like you the first thing u will change is the ATI...but other than that...expect 12 months + of really good gaming...........but like u said u are prefer so consoles so isn't really to much of a problem thou max payne is about the only reason why u would currently want a gf3.....
