How does my 240sx look with black between taillights?

I'm thinking about painting the red plastic between the taillights black. I used electrical tape to see how it would look.

Which is better? The Nissan emblem and reverse lights won't be covered when I paint it.

Try to not let the cleanness in the first pic sway you!

Btw, anyone know how much it would cost to have it painted body color? It's a funny dual color type of paint.

I think it looks kinda odd in my honest opinion, but that's probably more because of the pic quality. Might look good if it was done with quality car paint.

Don't paint it. That is so late 80's, early 90's. I remember Maxima and camry had that part between taillights painted black. Eww.

I'm typically not in favor of modding your car in some simple way because it's cheap and easy and you feel like modding it, even if them od isn't very good.

This is no exception.

And yes, I like to make presumptions about people based on past experiences rather than why they say they're doing something.

I thought about doing it because I hate the stock taillights. But I wasn't sure if this would look any better, which is why I asked here.

I sat in that exact car at the Toyota dealership the other day when my girlfriend was looking at cars and it was very uncomfortable. Think it looks better without the black though.

i like itbetter stock,
but if you gonna paint it, try rounding off the inside edges so it flows more... and the paint should be glossy

(how weird of me to say that..i blacked out my talon tails :) )

The seats suck. My neck always hurts on long trips. And the cupholder is right behild the shifter. Terrible.

Mad Indian will come in here saying it has an awesome sports car interior though.

The MR-2 I took for a spin had that same issue with the cupholders. I love the seats and the interior in my Supra, however I don't have cupholders. :(

How'd you know? :p And those are NOT cup holders btw. that car has no cup holders. And those seats are friggin PERFECT and everything is within perfect reach. The only problem is a lack of cup holder, which isn't a big deal to me anyways. Link to pics of the interior in mine --> see....it's perfect! :D

Btw, leave the rear end stock. Looks pretty stupid with black in teh middle. I have seen pics of the middle part being body colour on other S14s.

I think the manual calls that rectangular thing a cup holder!

Are you sure? Its more a place to book tiny objects. If you put a can of pop in there, it spills during driving (personal experience).

I don't know what pop is, but I've successfully stored soda cans in there.
