How does he do this?

Just guessing, but it looked like he holds them in the pinky and ring finger of his right hand, then near the end drops them off the table. Not that I ever saw the cards.
 
might have something to do with the fact that right before he deals them out, he puts his right hand under the table? Regardless, that is good.
 
This summer when I was a camp counselor one of the kids at camp could do some really good tricks like that.. he was like 13. The kid apparently wanted to be a famous magician when he grew up... well, at 13 he was able to do that very same trick.

You think that guy is impressive, just watch a kid do it.

nah at that time, it looks like he's just scratching his nuts

Some magic is beyond me.

I saw Penn and Teller in Vegas and they did that shooting of guns at one another that boggles my mind.

Watch him reach under the pile next to him and drag his hand across the table. He is placing some sort of card holder onto his hand and then fixes it under the table on his legs. Shaking his hand makes you think that there is nothing in his hand. When all the cards are secure under his hand he knocks it off on the edge of the table before he shows his hand.
