Sure there's always the argument for nurture vs. nature when it comes to personality, but I've noticed that nurture plays a huge role in how one develops one's appearance.

Specifically among asians, you can usually tell just by looking at someone whether they were born in the US or elsewhere..particularly in their size.

So what is it about one's environment that shapes soneone's appearance? The food, the air, what else could there be?

You can tell in which country someone was born by their appearance?

I've noticed the same thing about Asians; the kids tend to be almost 4 inches taller than their parents. The ex and I are South Asians my daughters are each 4 inches taller than their mom not heavier though, my boy is 6 inches taller than me and a good 75 lbs heavier as well. Their attitude and body language are also quite noticable different.

Their face and body size. People born in America look more "white" than their foreign born counterparts, whereas the foreign born people keep more characteristics from their country..
