how does ebay work?

i wwant to put something onto ebay and wanted to know what the charges were and stuff like that thanks.

you put an item up on ebay. ebay charges you a listing fee (it depends on what type of auction you do and what features you add into your listing). people bid on your item. you get charged an end of auction fee when your listing ends (it is dependent upon the final value of the item). bidder pays you. you ship item.
