How does Ebay pay me?

I'm not acquainted with ebay's new policies regarding trolls, but if you buy something from there and the seller turns out to be a troll what does ebay do about it? Do they reimburse the purchaser or are you on your own?

Given the countless hoaxes and ridiculous items sold at that site it's a wonder how ebay is still running if they were to pay reparations to each victim of a troll scam.

It's between you and the seller. All you are paying ebay for is the opportunity to sell the item on their site.

eBay doesen't pay you. Even when your account balance is +dollars, they just hold onto it until you use it.. lol

Should I scam someone? I'm selling a 50" Samsung flat panels for $100. I have 50 in stock. Who wants to bid?😉

eBay is just the middleman. They don't really arbitrate disputes like you're thinking. If you get screwed -- that's pretty much it, unless you have personal info to go on, and take it into your own hands (calling law enforcement, etc)

But the guy in the alley is selling for $50 from the back of his truck.

People who get scammed on eBay learn a hard, but deserved lesson about how to do business online.

You either take the time to learn the nuances of protecting yourself beforehand, or wait for something bad to happen first.
