How Does Diet Coke Have 0 Carbs, Calories etc?

It doesnt make sense...based on the nutritional facts its pretty much the same thing as water except for sodium


what makes diet coke taste like diet coke? it has alotta ingredients in it like caramal flavoring and stuff so how does it still have no calores? !?!?!? do they lie?!? or do the chemincals they use to make it just have somehow no calories or anything

Those other ingredients carry no calorie value. Only the sugars which in Diet Coke have been replaced with aspartame.

my guess is that the stuff that gives it flavor doesn't get digested or something.

It's like water, with a tiny amount of that sweetener stuff added. The only thing that gives calories to soft drinks is a lot of sugar..

If you ever notice, diet drinks are much lighter than the regular stuff.

If you place coke and diet coke next to each other, I bet you couldn't tell the difference by looking at them.

Calories only come from fat, protein, and carbs. The other ingredients do not contain these items and have little nutritional value.
