How does Collin McRae 4 demo work in your rig?

I have audio problems with my Envy 24. Graphics look pretty good, but I get a tremendous lacking in replays, but not in game, where everything is fluent. The lacking is the same with AA enabled or not

It seems to me driver related problem or game's. It'a pitty, cause it really looks sweet. I'll wait till full version is out and watch out if new drivers for audio do better.

How is your experience?

Sound is awesome. Might want to check in Eax 4.0 is not on, it might be.

Eax 4.0 only works on Audigy 2 cards as far as I am aware.

Running pretty well at 1280x960. Graphics are much better than previous version of game.

It seems my problem is driver related them. EAX is off. What cat's are you using?

Demo @ GamersHell - 151.7MB

It runs good at 1600x1200 on my Barton/5900 system. It looks pretty good, but I think RalliSport Challenge looks a little better. They're really not too dissimilar, might just be down to personal preference. Though as the demo says, it's 95% complete so it may still improve some.

Well that was kick-A actually. I went through stage 1, and Graphics look nice, sounds great and it plays well. I ran through the replay, and it looked very good and sounds great also. The dust on the windows is a nice touch! I'm going to try some AA, and run the resolution up and see how it goes. So far, it looks like a winner.

Works great. But, I think Rallisport Challenge 2 will be better. 😉
All I've seen says that RalliSport Challenge 2 is only coming out for the Xbox. I haven't seen any mention of a PC version. 🙁🙁

My audio problems went when I updated sound drivers and now it works as it should. Sound is great, graphics are great.... only thing I don't like is the behavior of the control. The car slides too much.

That game is so fun, Im going to buy it when it comes out (when is that?)...

A tip: just like in real car, let off the gas when you go into a hard slide, and no brake.

No beating the crap out of car is when you have no front wheels (no more steering) and not rear tires, and a shot engine.. Like this (purposly of course)

Doesn't that depend on the type of drivetrain your car has?

And your style, I prefer to st@b the brakes hard going into a hard corner, dropping a gear and then powering all the way through the corner.

Im pretty good now, the only place I loose it sometimes is one the road in the USA track, the part where there is dirt on the road near the end of the road, slide of into the tree's a few times now 🙁
