How does CloneCD Work?

Seems to work much faster than Nero. Does Clone CD copy on the fly or image on the hard drive first?

I have both my CDROM and burner on the same IDE channel. Nero doesn't seem to like that at all while doing a CD Copy on the fly.
Uncheck "on the fly" and Nero does it but slower than CloneCD.
Just stick the source and target in and CLoneCD seems to love it and just makes a copy. I can't believe CLoneCD is copying on the fly...
How does it do it?

Not sure of the newer version, but my clonecd image it to the hdd first then write with your burner into the disk. I haven't try the newest version yet, Version 3, because no money to buy it. 😉

the newest version will do on the fly copies now although depending on the type of protection being defeated and the capabilities of your burner this my not be an option you would want to use.

I don't know exactly how it works... but, it's IMO the "greatest friggin software ever created" thank you cashwise video and blockbuster video for having such a great collection of playstation games 🙂
