how does AT&T handle phone upgrades?

we have a family plan with 2 lines(the wife & me).

she has a Tilt and I have a 1st gen 8Gb Iphone.

she's elligible for upgrade already, I will be elligible on Friday.

if I wanted to upgrade to a 3G Iphone(must sign 2 yr committment), would that screw up her upgrade? what if she wanted a 3G IPhone as well?

No, upgrades are done by the phone numbers. Log into your account here, and see for yourself. It will show that her number is eligible, and give the date when yours is eligible.

thanks.. that was what I was hoping for...

i sure would like to upgrade to the 3g IPhone, but i'm concerned about a 90 day warranty on the refurbed model...

being on the Premier plan(through work), the refurb is only $50 cheaper than a new one - i'm not sure what the price difference is on a normal plan.

I wouldn't get a refurb if I were you. I'm on my 3rd 3G iPhone, and a friend is on his second.
