How does absentee balloting work

if you're a registered voter, you can request an absentee ballot be sent to you in the mail.

cast your vote(s), submit by the specified deadline

And, if the election is somewhat close, your vote might get counted. I think even in Florida during the presidential election, there were a few thousand absentee votes that never got counted. Al wanted them counted, the elephants obviously didn't want them counted and just sort of pushed them aside.

I'm a frequent absentee ballot user (student in school and registered at home, I cannot skip classes to drive home on a Tuesday to vote).

Generally you have to give a reason why you cannot vote on the normal day. They have a list of valid reasons, and just pick one of those. Your vote will be put in a bag and WILL NOT be counted unless the election is close. If the election is close, then they open the absentee ballots and count those as well.

1. Register for it
2. Get it sent to you in the mail
3. Fill it out
4. Send it back
5. Have it thrown out by Democrats trying to win a recount
