Drive thru touchless car wash... select the underbody rinse.
Yea, that would do it. Turn off the main valve and drain the hose. Or just go to a self-serve car wash.Originally posted by: psteng19
Do you just use a hose and spray?
Last year when I used the hose in this weather, the faucet burst when it froze over night (maybe because I forgot to turn off the main valve).

Most cars today have pretty good undercoat and you really don't need to worry about washing it off unless you want it to look all pretty under there! Just wait until it rains, and drive through some puddles.
Well, you guys down south got earthquakes and hurricanes to worry aboutsnow? salt? what?
I live in California and I think my car's been in the RAIN maybe 10 times. It's never been in the snow, and there's no salt on the roads![]()

Salt is evil.
Here in Oregon they use sand, & then go back & vacuum the sand back up to save for next season.
I was in DC over the weekend, my first experience with salted roads/sidewalks/etc.
I am VERY glad we use sand.

Is there a reason Honda vehicles lose the muffler pipe more often than other makes ? Right where the catalytic converter is... the thing has snapped 4 times among 3 Hondas "in the family" within the last 2 years. '90, '89, '97 Hondas. I have a '95 Isuzu that never had a problem (it's higher off the ground though). Even the Meineke guy said Hondas are notorious for this... just a bad design/part or what ?

This doesn't happen to anyone else ?! I was driving my brother's '97 Civic down to DC one day (5 hour drive) and we were stuck on the NJ Turnpike (IN THE LEFT LANE SHOULDER) because the damn pipe fell down. Cost me 3 hours and almost missed my game.
