How do you wash sneakers?

Spooner

My sneakers smell. Bad.

I can't even wear them since they make my feet smell so bad. I tried the washer/dryer thing once, but they kept flinging out of the dryer... not to mention the whole banging it makes (i'm in an apartment)

What can i Do ? 😕

i think it's beyond odor eaters....... the reason they smell so bad is that i fell in a pond a while back (not the cleanest pond, mind you....... also, not the soberest move) 😱

Wash them again. Just dont put them in the dryer, thats a bad mistake. It gets too hot for some shoes, and it may cause glue, if used on your shoe, to come undone. Just let them air dry over an airvent. Pull out the padding and the laces and open the shoe as much as possible.

but if i just let them air dry, won't they get a moldy smell all over again?

You could let them air dry near a small heat source such as a radiator or even inside a turned off oven, it'll quicken the drying time w/o letting your sneakers get moldy again 🙂

I threw my newbalances in the washer then when it came to the dryer i used rope to tie them to the dryer door (Front loading dryer) thus they didnt make any noise inside and they dried pretty fast 🙂

My wife's new Kenmore washer has a sanitizing cycle....mail them to me and we'll find out how good it is!

Boil them on the stove for 5 minutes....invite friends over....they see your next meal...feel sorry for you, buy you new sneakers AND supper!😉

what the hell?

Always try to rotate a new set of shoes in, before the old ones are too far gone. Alternate shoes frequently, so they get a chance to dry out. Buy some new ones, scrub those inside and out with detergent and let them dry buy the hot water tank or furnace for a few days. Rotate them back in after they've dried. Be prepared to buy a new pair to rotate in after a few months. In the end, two pairs per year should have you in decent looking, dry shoes from now on.

Edit: "what the hell?" Hah! That was funny as hell! 😀

Just throw them in the wash alone with Tide and some diluted softener, let them air dry, the dryer is not your shoes friend!!! This works for me like a charm.
