How do you "Verify" a raid array?

I have a Dell Precision 490, its booting slower than the other 490's we have. When I check the raid configuration it says Raid "Verify" while the other computers say "good" or what have you.

My question is how do I go about checking or what is the process to get this drive back to normal?

If on an intel motherboard, you have to install the intel matrix storage manager software in windows and you can right click on the corresponding array and verify it, which can take a long time depending on the size of the array, number of drives, etc. Not sure about AMD systems though.

Should be automatic by the RAID controller. Mine does it as part of the POST process.

Are the systems only turned on for a given amount of time each day? If so, the system may not be on long enough for the array to be verified (could take 24+ hours on large array). Leave the system on for several days and see what happens.

Thank you for all the input gentlemen. It was the Intel Storage Matrix... It took 20 hours to verify.
