I just got a second 19" monitor and am having some problems actually using the second monitor... :)

How do you use your second monitor? Dual web browsing, double the porn, script coding, movie editing?

Any suggestions on the best way to get used to it?

Monitor 1: Work, web browsing
Monitor 2: AIM, ICQ, SetiQ and whatever else I feel like dragging over there

Soon I will be adding the third 15" LCD.

Umm, I just divide the two so that instant messages don't disrupt the work I actually am trying to do on the other monitor.... that and 2X the p0rn.

1> Web browsing, newsgroup reader, anything with alot of reading (18" LCD)
2> Movie watching, file management, AIM, winamp, most other stuff (21" monitor)

When doing html and coding, I use both monitors. I can't recommend enough of this software: www.realtimesoft.com which makes dual monitor work such a pleasure to work with.

Monitor 1: the call queue, shows how many customers are holding and who's logged into the queue and where I am in the queue.

Monitor 2: the 'working' monitor. Web browsing, examining customer data, etc.

Monitor 3: email

Monitor 4: call logging tool. Notes for cases, troubleshooting, etc.

I *love* multimonitor!

Actually, I have only one monitor with dual inputs. I don't know if it's the same thing you mention.

What would be interesting to know, though, if I can ever make use of dual monitors. I think it's difficult to watch the two at the same time. However, because I lack desktop space (I'm running a measly 1024*768) I might well consider getting a second one. Heck, wish I had a monitor capable of 1600*1200, that would have been enough for todays needs *sigh* :(

I run both my 19" monitors at 1600x1200 I still run out of space all the time.

regular use:
monitor 1: web browsing
monitor 2: more web browsing, winamp, trillian

If I'm coding:
monitor 1: IDE, debuging tools
monitor 2: Refrence material, UML model, winamp, trillian
