How do you use uTorrent for Android Mobile?

OK, I'm in a situation right now where I don't have an ISP and am using my smartphone, a ZTE ZMAX Pro Z981, for all my internet needs. One of the features I'm using is a uTorrent Android app for downloading bittorents but this only opens magnet downloads which not every site has this feature and it doesn't open torrent clients in the file storage folders.

Is there a way to open torrent clients from the file storage folders or is the mobile app exclusive to magnet downloads?
 
I've downloaded flud, but when I try to download a torrent with it says "Invalid torrent file. Please download it again".

Heard that uTorrent for Android kinda sucks. I know for a fact that desktop uTorrent has been crap for Windows since version 3.
 
I use atorrent for android. No problems downloading files. Utorrent is a bloated slow and ad-filled junk client now.
 
Do all bittorrent android apps only work with magnet downloads? None of the apps recommended allow for torrents to be added from the Documents folder.

Or is there something from my end that I'm not doing right?

When you go to the file's location with your file manager and then tap on the file, it doesn't try to open with the torrent client?

No, when I tap on it it'll say Can't find an app with which to open this file. To the left of the torrent file in the Downloads folder there is a question mark icon.

Interested to know, and I know I'm unlikely to get an honest answer, but are you torrenting content illegally? It would be interesting to see whether the stereotype of Android users being amoral, illegal torrenters is alive and well still.

Yes he is . Also, Black people like watermelon and fried chicken, & Asians are terrible drivers with small penis'. Gtfo with that ......
 
On the desktop, I use torrents as much as possible. They're efficient, and the cost of bandwidth is distributed by the people using it. I'm less inclined to use it on the phone cause it'll chew though mobile data, which is expensive compared to a central server. I don't download much on the phone using any method. It's cheaper doing it on the desktop, and I hook the phone up to charge anyway.

Yes, but the problem is that I don't currently have an internet provider to use this on my desktop.

This is so hilariously misplaced.

I use flud when I want to get torrents on my portable devices. Works a champ, except make sure to provide the permissions to the app ahead of time.
