How do you use firewire to hook 2 computers together?

Hi I was wondering how do you physically hook 2 computers up together with firewire? Will I just need a firewire cable? At the moment I only have one computer with firewire, but planning on getting another one with it. I was just wondering how it's setup. Just really wanted to play around with it, already have a home network.

firewire networking

apparently firewire networking is available under windowsme with no extra software. And i'm assuming XP also has this feature. But if you're using win2k you will need the firenet software.
