How do you unsuperglue yourself?

Hypothetically speaking, if you were to glue (for the sake of argument) your left pinky finger to your left nosehole?

What kind of timeframe do you suppose something like waiting entails?
I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable employing such an agressive strategy.

i've only glued my fingertips to each other. hot water and a knife does the trick. since you can't hold your head under hot water that long, you use the knife. and end up looking like michael jackson.

acetone aka. nail polish remover

Yup. Also paint stripper (not thinner) works, but some people have reactions to it.

EDIT: So hypothetically, is this for you your daughter?

i bought super glue remover at the hobby store once. had to unglue myself twice while building a model.

Like a plastic model? The one's where you can just use plastic glue which doesn't stick very well to skin?

Superglue actually has very little sheer strength, although it has a lot of tensile strength (I might be using the wrong terminology here, but I know what I mean), so if you move parallel to the glue, and don't mind yanking out a lot of nosehair, you should be able to get it off.

Go the hobby store, get some 'CA debonder'. Superglue is a Cyanoacrylate adhesive, and will be dissolved by the debonder. Not sure why you would want to use any glue or solvent around your nose, though- were you getting high?

Superglue is not very waterproof.

It will dissolve quite quickly if exposed to warm soapy water.

One time I was supergluing something and the cap came off and ALL of the glue spilled into my hand. That sh*t was locked tight.

It took about 3 hours of soaking in warm soapy water before I was finally able to unstick even a single finger. My hand was like locked in a pen grip for a day.

My friend was supergluing his tweeters to a set of door pods. He held together both pieces while the glue dried without knowing there was glue residue under where BOTH fingers were, and he applyed tight pressure to the things for a good 5 minutes before realizing it! Ended up having to cut his skin free with a little folding buck knife he carries! To this day I bring it up. 😛
