How do you unistall win 2k

Specialist, how is W2K installed? Do you have one HDD with multiple partitions? Do you have Win98SE on your primary partition? If so, boot your machine with a Win98SE boot disk and type "sys c:" at the prompt (without the quotes). This will overwrite the dual boot menu so your machine will go straight into Win98SE. Then all you have to do is FDISK, delete or format the partition containing W2K.

sys the primary drive with win98 in roder to replace the boot sector. thereafter you can simply delete the win2k system directories

You can then delete all win2k partition, including winNT bootfiles like NTDLR, pagefile.sys, boot.ini, ntdetect.com, bootsect.dos, ntbootdd.sys.
