i didn't do it. a client of mine did it. set up ics, it shows up in services, but only on the machines that had it initially. unfortunately the pc's that have it and that don't seem to want to talk to each other.

i hate doing installs like this when clients have already started the job.

also, they are set up with Router so no need for ICS anymore. initially they used one modem to dial up and shared that connection. now there is no longer a need for an "Internet Gateway" but i can't seem to get rid of that as well.

uhh.

u know i had the same problem
but that was coz i had ipsec vpn client on my laptop now everytime i want to share hdd's with the other pc i need to uncheck that option from the wifi card's properties
mm weird , well lemme see how u can uninstall it , if at all

is it internet gateway devices discovery and control client,

check in advanced properties of networking services

delete?

i thought u just need to uncheck it to uninstall it?

ur looking under xp windows component wizard ->network services->details right?
